RUN. BIKE. TRY-ATHLON 101
BUILDING CONFIDENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND CAPACITY IN 6 WEEKS.
There's an athlete inside everyone, and I mean it. Let me guide you to find your inner athlete in a safe, progressive and supportive manner.
Running is NOT bad for you. The way YOU'RE running may be bad for you.
Back pain on the bike is probably NOT the bike fit. It's the probably the way you're pedalling.
Triathlon is fun, but hard, and there are some absolute basics you MUST master to make your day 'at the office' way more enjoyable with the results to match.
bioSPORT Packages are a super targeted and progressive programme, tailored for you - the individual. Packages are all 6 weeks, with the options revolving either a 1x or 2x weekly commitment (see Conditions below for more info).
bioSPORT Packages all consist of the following:
- EVIDENCE-BASED testing and opinion
- Relative history screening, including some home/gym programming
- Session Zero: Gait or Bike video analysis (or both if doing the Tri package*)
- Voice over videos are sent to you so you have a recording of what I see and what needs to improve.
- Muscle balance testing and reporting.
- Mastering the basics of core stability and how to DYNAMICALLY be stable
- SIGNIFICANTLY reducing the risks on injury.
- Having FUN in the 101 process
- Email communication for further feedback.
CONDITIONS:
1x WEEKLY RUN 101 PROGRAMME
Starting with a 60min Gait Analysis (and reporting), then 6 weeks of 1x weekly 1 hour sessions.
Understanding the basics of HOW to get upright, and as much as this may sound silly, mastering the basics of WALKING. From here we lightly build capacity so as to cope with the ground reaction forces in running, as well as getting some trunk control basics dialled in.
By the end of the 6 weeks (depending on your specific background) you will be either in a solid walk/run programme (minimum) or getting close to running 15-20mins EFFICIENTLY.

2x WEEKLY RUN 101 PROGRAMME
Starting with a 60min Gait Analysis (and reporting), then 6 weeks of 2x weekly 1 hour sessions.
2x sessions a week gives 3x the results of 1x per week. We bombard the body with information and capacity-building exercise prescription.

Cycling is far more complex than is generally understood. It is NOT simply a case of 'mashing down on the pedals'. It is a sport if finesse.
This 101 programme will teach you the HOW and WHY of accurate pedalling technique. Also how the trunk and your neck/shoulders play a big part in 1. how you ride and 2. comfort. By the end of the programme your body will fit to the bike (as good as we can get it), and as the pro's say, you WON'T be pedalling in squares.

When you're first getting into triathlon, your primary focus needs to be getting the 3 codes of swim/bike/run to 'talk' to each other. Because in reality they don't, (especially the bike-to-run transition) and since we're all about loving the sport and having fun with it, let's get you understanding the HOW of triathlon. With an individualised and specific strength programme that will help all 3 codes, it will allow you to have a level of confidence on the start line you din't know you could.
